About Walnut Creek

The United States Pony Clubs, Inc., develops character, leadership, confidence and a sense of community in youth through a program that teaches the care of horses and ponies, riding and mounted sports.

Walnut Creek Pony Club started in 1992 on the west side of Cincinnati at a small stable on Bridgetown Road formerly called Walnut Creek Stables.

Pony Club provides opportunities for instruction and competition in English riding, western riding, games, tetrathlon, dressage, show jumping, eventing, polocrosse, mounted games, vaulting, foxhunting, hunt seat equitation, horse management, and more.   Youth members are up to 25 years old and adults can be members as well.  It is not necessary for a member to own a horse or pony, but they must have access to a mount when required.  USPC now offers additional membership levels for those who may not have access to a horse or alumni who are not actively riding but want to support Pony Club.  A Professional Membership, Introductory E-membership, Pony Club IQ E-Membership, Corporate Membership, Life Membership, Alumni Membership, and Friend Membership can be found on the USPC website and offer various levels of involvement and access to  Pony Club materials.

WCPC has members competing in most of the disciplines as well as group trail rides, family camping, and fun outings. We are part of the Midsouth Region and participate in Pony Club Rallies, Championships, and Festival educational opportunities, as well as USEA-sanctioned events and other local shows.  We have youth and adult members based in southern and central Ohio.

Walnut Creek Pony Club has a schedule of instruction for mounted meetings, held primarily from March through November, usually twice every month. Instruction varies between flat work, dressage, jumping, and cross-country.
